Weekend Fun!

Last weekend we got in some really fun family time!! On Friday night when Jake got home we decided to head to Huntington Beach for a take out dinner on the sand and a little play time before bed. The kids had soooooo much fun. They loved running and playing in the sand and at the end they ended up getting wet up to their waists but it was so fun!

I love this picture of Luke playing catch with Jake. If you look close you can see the ball.
Jake and Luke were running around so Harper and Sam and I built sand castles.
Sam is not a fan of the sand but at least he will sit in it now. And these next 3 pictures show off our little dudes silly side. He was making these faces for absolutely no reason...and that is our Sam!

Harp playing chase with the waves, so fun to watch her as the beautiful sun set!
If you know Harp at all this is her classic Harp march! On a mission!

Starting to get wet.
Love those boys!

Saturday:
For months and months Luke has been begging me to do a Lemonade Stand. The main problem is that he usually asks me on a weekday in the morning or around lunch time. I have explained to him that this would not be a good time to have a lemonade stand, not to mention we never have lemonade at our house. =) One day when I found him out front trying to sell bubble gum, stale tortilla chips and whole carrots I decided it was time to schedule a day for the lemonade stand!
So, we looked at the calendar and decided we would do it Saturday at 11:00. We went to Target on Friday and got the mix for lemonade, a sign for the stand, and mix to sell cookies too. First thing Saturday morning we were up painting the sign, and making the cookies and lemonade. We set up shop just outside our complex on the corner and loved every minute of the almost 2 hours we were out there. The kids loved waving at all the cars and serving their customers. And people were extremely generous with the "keep the change". It was all and all an extremely successful and fun day. Many of our friends that missed us keep asking Luke to do it again to which he replies, "My Mommy says this is like a 1 time a year thing." =)

Monday after church most of our staff went to the lagoon in Irvine for swimming, hot dogs, fruit, smores, brownies and hanging out!! Our kids had a blast and so did we. We are super blessed with a wonderful team to work with and hang with! Unfortunately I only took a few pictures.

They had just gotten their smores and would not smile or even look at the camera, and Sam is asking for another marshmallow already! Harper and Luke spent about 3 hours in the lagoon that afternoon!
