Last Saturday April 9th we had a party and dedication for Sam. We have dedicated all our kids at their first Birthday Parties, something we stole from some friends of ours. The night before Sam's party it rained and hailed in Irvine!!!! I wasn't nervous as much as I was bummed. We had a place that we could move the party indoors if need be, but I really wanted it to be at the park. We had no rain on the day of the party but it was in the 50s. That is really cold for here. Just to put into perspective our crazy weather it was 90 here 1 week later.
The party was super fun and we were so thankful to have so many friends and family there to join in us celebrating Sam and dedicating him to our God. The party was a car theme because that Sam LOVES cars! We also had the theme of dessert and dedication. So, we had lots of delicious treats. I did not make any of the treats but Sam's cake and was so thankful for everyone that helped me. It really made planning the party much more enjoyable. There was a stretch of about 30 minutes where it was SUPER cold and windy but then the sun came back out and the wind stopped and it was rather nice.
Despite the chilly weather it was a great party for our little man!! We love that boy so much!
